living in our childhood dreams rn! we present to you our first ever custom guitar, made by @furthestwaves a californian based company. This guitar is designed by a woman with the aim that it is comfortable for women and people of smaller stature but NEWS FLASH accessibility is good for EVERYONE so a lightweight custom instrument is just really comfortable to play, doesn’t put stress on your back (we can’t wait to debut this on stage) and travels a dream in their gorgeous bags. the beautiful bunny artwork was designed by their child Eli and we’re so obsessed with it, get it tattooed on me immediately ✍️ they also painted on our very own WD infinity arrow and my god it looks chic. we feel so blessed that they saw what we do from across the globe and wanted give us a tool (🤘🎸🔨) to help us tell the world our story. Part of their mission is to champion artists who are trying to make a better world, it’s not always simple to think about ourselves in this way, often we are just trying to stay afloat and keep our dreams alive in a crazy industry but I’m proud to be visible as a trans woman in a world that questions our existence more than ever and people like Anne, Geoff and Eli inspire me to be more visible than ever, to do more for people less privileged than me and to simply try make a difference. we love women, we love queers, we love guitars.

"Yesterday I was able to get the guitar in the hands of a 10 year old girl in my Rock 101, and she absolutely LOVED the guitar! For reference the guitar she owns is a Squier Sonic Series Mustang, and these were a few things that she noticed right off the bat, and her thoughts after the whole rehearsal because after playing one song with it, she was hooked with wanting to keep playing it! Off the bat she noticed how much lighter it was compared to her Squier, how much nicer it felt holding the hand, and she loved the color right away. "

"She also said that it was a lot easier to play for the duration of the rehearsal compared to her guitar, and that she would love to play it again. From a sound perspective on my end, she sounded substantially more present in the band with that guitar in a very pleasing way, not in an ice picky or piercing way, it just sat really nicely with the band at volume and with gain. She also seemed a lot more comfortable with the guitar on her for the whole rehearsal, ie less fidgety, adjusting where the strap was sitting on her shoulder... it just hung nicely from the strap all rehearsal long and looked really comfy on her from her body language and comments!"
